I am someone who believes in the second amendment and the protections it provides. I believe that most American’s are law abiding individuals who should be able to enjoy their constitutional right. I don’t have one myself but if I saw the need to protect myself with one, I should be able to do so.
In saying that, I want to add I’m fuckin’ sick of these mass shootings. As an American I want something done about it. After every mass shooting a large segment of one side demands gun reform while the other side shifts the blame to mental health. Personally I think the answer lies somewhere in the middle but my issue with the Right who scream mental health.
If mental health is the biggest issue at the heart of these mass shooting then why isn’t the GOP doing anything to improve it? I don’t see Republicans demanding for new legislation. I don’t see new programs being instituted for our safety.
